This is a beautiful little round Chinese Cloisonne pin or trinket shallow dish. The dish stands raised on a thin brass rounded brass foot. There is a lovely scalloped or fish scale border edge in blue next to the gold brass rim of the dish. The dish itself is mostly white with an intricate and delicate gold scallop pattern throughout. The flower vase is a deep cobalt blue with a pink flower with blue and yellow buds. Next to the vase is a Chinese scroll and a little pot. It measures 4 1/4 inches in diameter. It has the original red and white label on the bottom marked “Made In The People's Republic of China”. In the early 70s, trade resumed with mainland China and their production was marked "Made in the People's Republic of China. That changed again in 1978, so this dish is most likely from the early 1970s. There is a triangular stamp on the label. The underside or bottom of the dish has a lovely blue enamel finish.
It is in great vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs with no dents, dings, or damage. There may be a bit of patina on the brass. Please look at the photographs as they are considered part of the description.
This is perfect to keep on the dresser in the bedroom for all your loose change, trinkets and jewelry. Great next to the sink to place rings in when you wash your hands or do the dishes. The style will work for a woman or a man. Lovely little decorative piece for any Asian decor.
