The Chickamauga Campaign: December 1862 - November 1863 by Patrick Abbazia
from The Great Military Campaigns of History series

From the dustjacket  -
The Battle of Chickamauga, fought between the Army of Tennessee and the Army of the Cumberland, was one of the bloodiest and most significant battles of the Civil War. Less famous than Gettysburg, Shiloh or Vicksburg, it is no less significant. Chickamauga represented the last opportunity for the Confederacy to win the war. During the course of the campaign, Confederate commander Braxton Bragg had ample opportunity to wipe out the Army of Cumberland under William Stark Rosecrans. However Bragg missed every opportunity and engaged the Union forces in a pitched, costly, confused battle in the woodlands of Western Georgia.
