The upper part of the plant Equisetum arvense L., fam. Equisetaceae containing salicylic acid, potassium salts, saponins, flavonoids, volatile oil, phytosterols, vitamin C.

Diuretic, eliminates uric acid, calcium and phosphorus inorganic, antiseptic, astringent, hemostatic, healing, antacid, remineralizing.
Main uses:
Renal calculi and colic; cystitis, nephritis, edema.
Other uses:
Internal use: rheumatism, arthritis, gout, fractures.
External use: hemorrhoids, eczema, sores.

Preparation:
Internal use: Prepare decoction of 2 teaspoons plant in a cup of water.
External use: Prepare a highly concentrated decoction of 100 grams per liter of water.
Administration method:
Internal use: drink 2-3 cups of tea a day, before the main tables.
External use: apply local baths and tablets with concentrated infusion.
