Pre-viewed for quality and played great on my old RCA blu-ray despite having a lot of very light scuffs. The disc also has a small store branded donut sticker in the center of the label side. Case has some light wear as well.
Starts out like your typical Christmas movie with a stampede on the store, its 'Black Friday'. Then the baking, tree decorating, family preparing for the annoying relatives to show up. When his dysfunctional family and relatives arrive, they clash over the holidays, young Max is disillusioned and turns his back on Christmas. Little does he know, this lack of festive spirit has unleashed the wrath of KRAMPUS:
A demonic force of ancient evil intent on punishing non-believers. All hell breaks loose as beloved holiday icons take on a monstrous life of their own (wicked Teddy bear, knife throwing gingerbread men, Jack in the box that grows to enormous size and trys to eat people, etc.), laying siege to the fractured family's home and forcing them to fight for each other if they hope to survive. Grandma knows the secret to defeating Krampus and it lies within her grandson, Max! And then the army of evil elves show up!...
A great, bloodless dark comedy that's for the whole family (except little kids). This is no low budget affair, this is Universal Pictures folks. Superb special effects and a happy ending reminds one of 'Gremlins'. Highly recommended and now my all-time favorite anti-Christmas-horror-fantasy-comedy that just has to be watched anually as part of the holiday tradition. Yes, it's that good.
