SNOW WHITE: Tale of Terror: Definately puts the grim in Grimm Brothers, we are not in Disneyland here kiddies. Extremely dark, rather bloody, live action version is an exercise in Gothic horror, with over-the-top Sigourney Weaver as the evil stepmother.
In medieval Austria, beautiful Claudia (Weaver) marries widowed Frederick who, unfortunatly, has an even-more beautiful daughter, Lilli (Monica Keena), who's put out by this rival for her father's affections. The stepmom/stepdaughter battle increases when Claudia's own long-awaited baby is still-born and the wrathful and unbalanced Claudia orders Lilli's death.
Only she's rescued by seven outcasts (only one of whom is a dwarf) living in the forest. The witchy Claudia does still like to talk to her mirror for advice, however. Filmed on location in various castles in the Czech Republic and in Prague Government Park, doubling for the Black Forest. Great (but cruel) fun.
DARKMAN 2: Return of Durant: On the verge of perfecting his synthetic skin formula, Dr. Peyton Westlake/Darkman (Arnold Vosloo) has his plans shattered by arch nemesis Robert G. Durant (Larry Drake), who survived the first chapter's helicopter crash with only a facial scar and occasional bouts of pain.
With the aid of a tabloid TV reporter (Kim Delaney), Westlake sets about exacting revenge, utilizing his singular abilities to infiltrate and destroy Durant's gang from the inside.
FIRESTARTER 2: Rekindled: Sequel to the 1984 film, based on the Stephen King novel. A now-adult Charlie (Marguerite Moreau) is researching the project that sparked her fire-starting powers, without realizing that her former mentor (Malcolm McDowell) wants to eliminate all survivors of the Lot 6 project.
Meanwhile, insurance agent Vincent Sforza (Danny Nucci) is looking for Charlie and a mysterious scientist (Dennis Hopper) is also involved.
