Edges of box is a little rough, especially the bottom edge where the tab was torn away for the cassette to slide out. Has a tiny nick on upper left (see photo). Spine flap has been glued shut. Out Of Print (OOP) and no longer being produced in any format domestically.
Pre-viewed for quality and plays great on both my Panasonic and Mitsubishi s-vhs decks.
The androgynous David Bowie stars both backstage and front 'n center. We see him preparing for his acts with make-up and talking to stagehands. At one point, he wears a glitter dress and make-up like a transvestite.
Filmed in 1973, the sound engineering is not too good. Most everything sounds mono to me, not much in the way of stereo seperation. Some of my favorite songs that sound just ok for live were:
'All the Young Dudes', 'Changes', 'Space Oddity', and 'Sufragette City'. If you want to see Bowie at his most flamboyant, orange hair and all, then this is probably it.
