The collection is dedicated to two dates â?? the tercentenary of St Petersburg and the twentieth anniversary of the Russia Folk Instruments Orchestra organized at the Children music school named after the Russian musician V. V. Andreyev. The orchestra consists of two castsâ??the junior one (12â?? 15 participants) and the senior one (35â??50 participants), which constantly give concerts at the city stages. The orchestra was awarded the title of the City Orchestras and Ensembles' Festival. The junior orchestra is the first step to group music-making. This very collection is intended exactly for such a kind of cast. It includes the most successful arrangements, having been made for the school orchestra. Taking into consideration the orchestra casts used to vary sometimes, the compiler offers two variants of accompaniment â?? for balalaikas secundas and violas and for the guitars. Bayan part is changed to flute. The collection includes the earliest versions for orchestra by V. V. Andreyev (M. Glinka â??Gloryâ?, Russian folk songs etc.). The parts of bayan, percussions, guitar are added, while the domra alto part is excluded, for children may hardly cope with it. The compiler hopes this collection is to enrich the repertoire and experience of both performers and conductors.Contents:M. Glinka. Glory. From the opera â??Ivan Susaninâ?N. Rimsky-Korsakov. Lullaby.
