Vintage Anchorglass 12 Pc Starter Set, Sandwich Design
4 Cups, 4 Saucers, 4 Plates, 1960s


This vintage pressed glass Anchor Hocking 12 piece starter set is clear crystal made in the sandwich design and was made in the 1960s by Anchor Hocking Glass Corp in Lancaster, Ohio.   It includes a brochure that tells of the history of the Sandwich glass design that originated in Sandwich, Massachusetts and was produced there from 1825 -1888.  Anchor Hocking reproduced the glass pattern so that it could be enjoyed by more people at a modest price.  The set includes:
  • 4, 6" diameter saucers weighing 5.6 oz each, 
  • 4, 9" diameter dinner plates weighing 15 oz each and 
  • 4 handled cups measuring 3.5" in diameter and 2 1/2 inches tall and weighing 5.3 ounces each
  • A brochure telling this history of the design and a catalog of the products.
The set has a flower, leaf and swirl design,  butterflies forming a circle around the main center daisy and all in the Sandwich design.

Excellent condition.  Still in original box with original packing material.
