Adjustable patinated copper bracelet (8 inches to 8 3/4 inches. This bracelet was completely handmade.

The copper of this jewel has been patinated. Patina is a technique used which has the effect of oxidizing certain metals. The oxidation of a jewel is seen by the presence of blackish tints on the metal. This technique makes it possible to highlight the different textures of a piece of jewelry and sometimes to enhance the colors of certain stones. Therefore, the worn jewelry is highlighted.

After careful polishing of this bracelet, it was coated with several layers of Renaissance jewelry wax. The latter promotes protection of jewelry and their finish. It enhances their radiance and shine. It also makes it possible to delay the process of oxidation of metals which occurs naturally in contact with the oxygen contained in the air.

Bracelet en cuivre patiné ajustable(8 pouces  à 8 pouce 3/4.  Ce bracelet a été entièrement fait à la main.

Le cuivre de ce bijou a été patiné. La patine est une technique utilisée qui a pour effet d'oxyder certains métaux. L'oxydation d'un bijou  se voit par la présence de teintes noirâtres sur le métal. Cette technique permet de mettre en évidence les différentes textures d'un bijou et parfois de rehausser les couleurs de certaines pierres. Par conséquent, le bijou porté est mis en valeur.

Après un polissage minutieux de ce bracelet, celui-ci a été enduit de plusieurs couches de la cire à bijoux Renaissance. Cette dernière favorise une protection des bijoux et de leur fini. Elle en rehausse leur éclat et leur brillance. Elle permet aussi de retarder le processus d'oxydation des métaux qui se fait naturellement au contact de l'oxygène contenu dans l'air.
