For your consideration, this sale is for a NEW Old Stock:
1984 Avon Gallery Original Shelburne Museum Porcelain 12" VTG Girl Doll - Sleep Eyes
Mint in Box still in it's original packaging. Box has shelf wear.
|
She has only been removed from the box so I could take her picture and then back in the box. Her hand in the picture has come thru the plastic that she's in, but no harm done to hand. The Box has some shelf wear. She is 12 inches tall and is dressed in a beautiful outfit.
This is what the card says:
"The Shelburne Museum, in Shelburne, Vermont, was founded in 1947 by Mr. and Mrs. J. Watson Webb. Inspired by Mrs. Webb's lifetime interest in collecting folk art, this museum is a unique institution that houses impressive collections of art and artifacts reflecting America culture and heritage.
It is with great pride that Gallery Originals presents this enchanting Edwardian style doll. Authenticated by the Shelburne Museum, she is a carefully detailed reproduction of an early 20th century doll originally made in Bavaria and intended for export to Europe and America.
Meticulously modeled in fine porcelain, she has a beautifully hand painted face, sparking brown eyes that open and close, silky golden brown hair and moveable arms and legs. Dressed in an exquisite ivory christening gown that is daintily embroidered and lavished with ribbons and lace and a matching bonnet, she reflects all the charm of the original."
What a GREAT GIFT. Won't the girls love to carry this around with them. But not to be used in Cribs.
This Doll is RARE and these are far and few with the original box and still in the original plastic wrapping and have not being displayed.
