My name is Feng. I am a professional bamboo fly rod maker with over 25 years of hands-on experience.
I was trained by an American master craftsman, who taught me not only the technical skills, but also the patience, respect for materials, and traditional spirit behind true bamboo rod making.
Over the years, I have personally handcrafted more than 5,000 bamboo fly rod blanks. Every blank is made by my own hands, carefully split, planed, glued, straightened, and finished — just as if I were making it for a close fishing friend.
My rods have traveled all over the world, including the United States, United Kingdom, France, Italy, Norway, Sweden, Russia, South Africa, South Korea, and Japan. Many customers have returned years later to share stories of the rivers they fished, the fish they caught, and the memories they created with my rods.
Here on Bonanza, I offer both ready-made bamboo fly rods and custom-built blanks. If you are looking for a traditional bamboo rod with honest craftsmanship behind it, I will be honored to build one for you.
