5.5" x 9.25", 186 page hardback with slipcase, The Steck Company, 1961 Facsimile Reproduction of the First edition with Preface, additional material, and special illustrations added.
Published in 1863 by the Office Of The Presbyterian Committee Of Publication Of The Confederate States, this is the recollections of Rev. Davis who was the Chaplain of the 4th Texas Infantry, Confederate. This is the 1961 facsimile reprint of the 1863 Richmond edition. Author was the Chaplain of the Fourth Texas Regiment. This facsimile edition contains the entire text of the original with extra content just for this edition. The new content includes a Publisher's Preface and 5 full page full color plates by Elizabeth Rice Bauknight of New Braunfels illustrating the soldiers of the Fourth Texas Regiment.
The book is complete and in FINE condition with some overall light wear.
