Burgess Buttercup Winter Squash (Cucurbita maxima), also known as Turban Squash, is an heirloom dating back to 1932 that was originally intended to be a substitute for sweet potatoes. The fruits produced will resemble a turban shape with a unique grey button on the blossom end, and will grow to be 3-5 lbs. The interior has a thick, deep orange flesh that will actually taste like sweet potatoes once prepared. High yielding with 10-12 fruits per plant with vines reaching 15' long
