A mid century German stone wear ewer in the manner of Rhenish pottery of the Westerwald region.
This pottery piece has a beautiful salt glaze finish that truly brings out its unique character being stylised with an incised banded design against a Cobalt blue ground. Crafted with care, this vase is a stunning addition to any collection. Typical style being that of the Westerwald region of Germany which is known for its high-quality ceramics, this piece is most probably from the studio of Paul Kruft and a base stamp suggests a date of 1968.
