About The Record:
This recording, which features some of the most famous marches in American musical repertory, including selections like Washington Post, Anchors Aweigh, and Semper Fidelis, in addition to popular favorites like the Stein Song, the Blue Danube, and Yes, We Have No Bananas, was made on one of the oldest and most unusual instruments in Paul Eakins' collection. It is a Belgian organ manufactured especially in 1885 for a beer garden in Detroit, Michigan and is one of many instruments gathered by Eakins from all parts of the United States and from Twenty foreign countries.
