Item description
THE LITTLEST REBEL
by Edward Peple
New York: Dodd, Mead Company, 1935.
Film tie-in edition, first printing thus.
A fine copy in confederate grey cloth with maroon cover and spine titles; in a very good, lightly shelf worn dust jacket with tiny edge tears.
The jacket is illustrated and features a portrait of Shirley Temple.
Originally published in 1914, this Civil War novel was adapted to several films.
This 1935 film adaptation features Shirley Temple in the title role with Bill Robinson.
The book is illustrated with eight full-page pictures, printed in two tones, from the film.
An unusually nice copy of this Movie tie-in edition.
