It is a 1st Edition, 3rd printing. these 3rd printings added "Duell Sloan and Pearce" to the foot of the spine below Essential Books. I have always been fascinated by Weegee's work. NOTES: Weegee was a crime and street photographer and photojournalist, known for his stark black and white street photography. He worked in Manhattan, as a press photographer during the 1930s and 1940s, and developed his signature style by following the city's emergency services and documenting their activity. Much of his work showed realistic scenes of urban life, crime, injury and death. He used a police radio to find his subjects and then sell his dramatic pictures to the tabloids.
