The kit includes a thermistor, defrost thermostat, and harness. Its primary role is to circulate air through the fresh food compartment, aiding efficient cooling. If your fridge or freezer is too warm or too cold, leaking water, has frost buildup, or makes unusual noises, this part could be the solution. Replacement involves lifting the freezer drawer out, removing the air cover, icemaker if equipped, and the rear cover of the freezer. The fan blade is removed by pulling it straight off, and the motor can be released by removing the clip on the bottom. It may be necessary to remove the fan shroud for replacement.
