Item description
Up for sale is a 1911 George Beckley Check Original Package Mizpah Bar 25 CTS Trade Token
The TokenCatalog website shows some historical newspaper clippings identifying George Beckley and his partner Thomas taking over the Original Package which was a saloon. The Original Package issued one of the best tokens from Tonopah with the pictorial image of the miner with pick and shovel carrying his lunch box with the rising sun in the background. Later in 1919 Beckley was managing the Mizpah Bar with partner Sherman Locke.
The token is made of brass and measures 24mm in diameter.
