Copper Luster Tea Cup and Small Footed Bowl The cup has an applied flower decorate on each side as well as a beaded row around the rim. It measures 2 inches high and 3.25 inches wide. It has the word FRANCE on the bottom (see the last picture). It alos has a more coppery finish and seems more Red. The bowl has a gold or brass type finish, with applied decoration - shaped and painted like a cottage on a blue rim around the outside. No markings whatsoever. 4 inches wide and1 7/8 inches deep. Copper luster pottery was produced between the 1840's and 1899 as a alternative to much more expensive Copper and Sterling plates dishes etc. Most of it originated in England although some was made here in the US.
