A fabulous pair of sterling silver and probably 14-karat gold plated earrings. These earrings are an exact match to the designer Bassani, a renowned Italian maker of designer jewelry, and likely date to around the 1980s. The earrings are done in the design of a fierce roaring lion, with fine texturing and detailing for the individual tendrils of the lion's mane. The lion's body is a graceful swirl. The earrings are clip back but a post can be added for pierced ears, there are holes where The earrings are in great condition. The backs function well and shut securely. There are no splits, no dents, no breaks, and no repairs. Each earring is stamped Italy, Elite, 925, and another mark that I cannot make out.
