Item description
The product is a rare 1979 Lincoln Penny with various minting errors, including a doubled die reverse and a Close AM variety.
This small cent coin was minted in Philadelphia and features the Lincoln Memorial design.
It is a unique piece that has been circulated and is composed of copper, making it a valuable addition to any coin collection.
Nice top end error collectable.
Review photos for details, some photos are taken with flash, and some are with incandescent lighting in up-close mode.
I enjoy the process of searching for rare coins, but I leave the task of grading them to those who want to make a lot of money from it.
You may have heard this simple rhyme: ?Find a penny pick it up, all day long you?ll have good luck.?
One of the highest amounts paid for the 1979 Penny is around $4,000 to $5,500 for some examples, with the true top sale being over $21,000 for a unique Philadelphia "only one known" example in late 2025.
