Printed by Heritage Printers and bound by The Delmar Company, Charlotte, N.C., October 1991. Set in Palatino type. Bilingual text (Spanish and English on facing pages) with illustrations from an eighteenth-century treatise on the Mayan calendar. 59 pages.
Paz won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1990 ? this limited edition was produced the following year. Sunstone (Piedra de Sol) is the poem that definitively established Paz as a major international figure.
CONDITION: Full natural white/cream linen boards stamped in black and maroon ? near fine to fine. Clean, tight, and unread. NOTE: The matching publisher's linen slipcase is NOT present with this copy. All other aspects of the book are excellent.
