It is not an original part number for these vehicles, so it has a slightly different colored face. (It's a tad lighter, with a little metallic in it.) It is set up to work without BOSE. It's a great way to replace an AM-FM radio, a basic U1C CD radio, or add a radio to a vehicle with the radio delete option. This is NOT intended for downgrades. We start with a brand new GM radio intended for another vehicle, which is set up for non-BOSE systems, so you don't have to get it programmed. We have tried this radio in a non-BOSE 2009 and 2012 Chevy Silverado locally, and we've sold hundreds of them to customers, so we know it works as described. Since this radio was originally intended for a different GM vehicle, there are a couple differences you need to be aware of. It is a slightly lighter color and it has some metallic to the finish. It does not look bad, but it bears mentioning, so you don't think you're getting an exact replacement. (Which would be hard, given how many times we've mentioned it...) The turn signal and warning tones might be louder too. Not blow your eardrums loud, but possibly noticeably louder.
