VINTAGE 1960s DUTCH ANEROID BAROMETER - P.W. SPEK AMSTERDAM - TESTED WORKING TYPE: Aneroid barometer with original German Lufft movement. MAKER MARKS: Manufactured for P.W. Spek, Zeilstr. 21, Amsterdam. Original paper label on back plate reads "P.W. SPEK ZEILSTR.21-TEL.92567 AMSTERDAM". Stamped signature "Lufft" on the mechanism plate. Original red circular "Lufft" sticker on mahogany case. See photos for all maker marks and stamps. TESTED WORKING: Mechanism is responsive to air pressure changes. Tested and fully working. See video demonstration included with listing photos. IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES - PLEASE READ: This barometer has never been professionally serviced. However, there are light non-factory screwdriver marks on the front bezel screws. I believe it was previously opened only to clean the inside of the glass. These marks are not from the original factory assembly. All marks are clearly shown in the photos and have been factored into the price. OTHER CONDITION: Solid mahogany case + stainless steel bezel. Original glass, no cracks or chips. Age-appropriate wear consistent with a 60-year-old item. SIZE: 7.8 inch / 20cm diameter x 2.2 inch / 5.5cm depth. Weight 870g / 1.9 lbs.
