Item description
For sale is a rare, complete U.S. Army AN/PSS-11 Metallic Mine Detecting Set. This transistorized, portable unit was the standard-issue metallic mine detector for the U.S. Military starting in the Vietnam era and saw service through the 1990s. This specific unit features a 1996 surplus processing tag from Boise, ID.

Condition: Excellent cosmetic condition for its age. The cables are flexible, and the modular internal components (Amplifier, Variometer, Oscillator) are all present.
Note on Functionality: Includes the original battery caddy, which shows some internal oxidation/residue from previous battery use (see photos). Untested; sold as a historical collectible/display piece.
