Item description
Grosset Dunlap. 215 pages. Original copyright 1934.
#1 in the series.
Light green tweed boards. Printing run estimated at late 1959 because the front flap lists to Haunted Lagoon (1959), the rear cover lists to Nancy Drew Golden Pavilion (1959), and the rear flap lists to Cherry Ames Island Nurse (1960), an anticipated title in 1959.
Haunted house green/white endpapers. Very good book with firm binding/hinges, no writing/markings. Very good corners. There is a track beginning to form between pages 182 and 183, but there are no loose pages. Plain line frontispiece.
Fair dust jacket: good jacket rear and not bad jacket spine, but wear on the jacket front, including a closed tear near the flap fold at the bottom right, plus wear along the flap itself. Jacket is now protected in mylar covering. "100100" designation at right of front flap.
