There is one crack in one side near the lip and going about 1 1/4 inches down. More about this item: This is a delightful Studio Art Pottery Vase with cutwork. It was hand thrown on a potter's wheel. The sides look to be sheered off and then pieces cut out. A stiff brush or comb was used to scratch designs on the surface and then multi colored glazes were applied that match the earthy look of this item. You can still see the marks that the kiln feet made on the bottom. These can be covered up with felt circles to hide this manufacturing flaw and also protect any surface this vase might sit on. These felt circles can be found at the hardware or fabric store. There is plenty of interest in this vase beginning with the clay which has dots of black in it to the glazing. You can still see the rings inside the pot from hand throwing which also adds to the overall design and interest. This piece would make a fine addition to a unique pottery collection or a starter piece. Being that there are holes in the sides, this would also make a unique candle holder. Used in Good Condition.
