Set of Six Franklin D. Roosevelt 6 Cent Postage Stamps Post Marks - 1968 S564 This is a set of six Franklin D. Roosevelt 6 Cent Postage Stamps with postmarks from different dates in 1968. The postmark is an official US Postal Service imprint applied in black ink on the address side of a stamped mailpiece. A postmark indicates the location and date the Postal Service accepted custody of a mailpiece and it cancels the affixed postage. There are three Scott # 1298 6 cent stamps and three Scott # 1305 6 cent stamps with various postmark dates from 1968 in this set. The Scott #1298 depicts Franklin D. Roosevelt and is from the Prominent Americans Issue. There is a horizontal coil and FDR's name is printed on the right side of the stamp. Issue date for this stamp issue was 12/28/1967 The Scott #1305 depicts Franklin D. Roosevelt and is from the Prominent Americans Issue. There is a vertical coil and FDR's name printed on the bottom of the stamp. Issue date for this stamp issue was 2/28/1968 Perfect for collecting or trading.
