This is a lovely vintage figural brooch in the shape of a fish or sea serpent. It has a body that makes me think of a sea horse and has the head of a fish. This precious cutie is made of a gold tone metal with detailed overlapping scales and features. The body has a graceful curve to it right down to the fan style tail. It has a bright ruby red rhinestone eye that brings out the personality on the face. It measures approximately 2 inches tall and 1 inches wide at the widest point. It is unsigned.
This cute little fish is in great vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs. There is a tiny spot of gold missing from the hinge of the clasp on the back, but this may have been the way it was originally gold plated. There are some tiny lines or indentations by the eye (see in photos), but again this is original to the piece and does not appear to be damage. Please look at the photos as they are part of the description and show the details better than I can describe.
This would be a great addition to your collection of vintage figural jewelry. It is a lovely piece of wearable art to add to your wardrobe. Perfect for any fish lover!
