Item description
NO INNOCENCE ABROAD by Michael Stern
Random House, First Printing, 1953
Condition: Very Good+ in Good dust jacket
Michael Stern was a colorful foreign correspondent, who also covered World War II, with headquarters in Rome during the '40s '50s. He travelled the world in search of the bizarre and sensational, breaking some of the outstanding "scoops" of his time. This book contains ten exposes of unusual persons who he interviewed and wrote about in the newspapers. Probably best remembered are gangster Lucky Luciano, the "Caesar of Crime", and film director Roberto Rossellini and his torrid affairs. Some of the information here might not be found in any other book. Out of print. 312 pages, including four pages of photos. Some small nicks on glossy covers; otherwise, only slight wear. Jacket has general wear, including some paper loss at spine top and price-clipped front flap.
