Item description
This Italian cuirass (chest and back plate) is based on S18 harness from the Churburg armory. This piece is dated to the 15th century although some historians claim that this model was used from 1370 to 1410. The original piece belonged to the Von Matsch family. The Italian cuirass is made of 18 gauge) steel . The effective gauge of the steel plate may vary due to the handcrafted way of manufacturing.
