The Cedar Bluebird houses are my most popular trusty old favorites with my Original Drop down door that requires ZERO tools to open and lock again! I’m sure others will start to copy this design soon, but rest assured, this drop down door that needs NO TOOLS to open is my original design. Each Bluebird house is hand crafted in the USA by me using 3/4” thick Solid Cedar! These are not 5/8”, they are a SOLID 3/4” thick. The listing pictures may show 1 or several birdhouses in one photo. Details of my bluebird house(s): ***Handcrafted right here in the USA!*** ***DROP DOWN FRONT DOOR (The ONLY one original design by me since the 1990’s)!*** (To properly check on a nesting bird, the least invasive way is a drop down door. This way you can simply pull back just a bit to peek inside. You can’t do this with a pull up door, especially without disrupting the nesting material.) PLEASE UNDERSTAND that this is all Natural real Cedar. It will have splinters, knots, various colors (including graying), grains, dirt, cracks, scratches, holes, twists, turns, bows, etc. etc. It’s wood! When it’s outside it can get wet or dry, which can cause it to have the chance to split, warp, crack, blow away, etc. Nothing leaves my shop that I didn’t craft myself with the best quality cedar I can supply to you, so please rest assure! I dry and store my cedar outside, sometimes there can be graying on the boards... Anything that is gray or has a gray tint to it will be placed towards the back, bottom or inside of the bluebird house. Ive also had requests for all gray (aged look birdhouses)..
