Item description
Original 6.75 x 8.5 in. photo-illustrated program from a special one-day screening with a live organ score of the classic 1920's silent film comedy/romance, THE KID BROTHER, released in 1927 by Paramount Pictures. Directed by Ted Wilde, this is Harold Lloyd's most popular film with today's audiences, in which his leading lady is Jobyna Ralston (Mrs. Richard Arlen). Held on Saturday, June 15, 2002 on the famed Santa Catalina Island as a benefit for the Catalina Island Museum Society, this soft cover booklet features 34 pages (including the outer buff cardstock covers), the majority which have nice photo illustrations from and about the film along with a shot of silent film organist/orchestrator, Robert D. Salisbury, who always does an outstanding job. In very fine+ condition.
The screening was held at the beautiful Art Deco-inspired Avalon Theatre within the famed Casino Building, a playground where Hollywood came to work as well as relax.
