I can truly testify to the quality of wood. As being assembled a hammer dropped on floor and landed on the door. Not a scratch or dent. It has been several weeks and I can still smell the wood. I have my desk in our dining room as b4 my computer and components were on a long wide table. So now all in its place and tower hidden. Even though solid wood would have been preferred, this desk certainly fits our needs.
