This is a Mary Beale cross stitch pattern for TWO samplers. This pattern is part of The Mary Beale School of Needlework series. Dated 1987 It was originally designed to be a scrapbook cover. The patterns are also perfect to use for two samplers. The first sampler is patterned after the very well know Mary Balch school which was in Providence, RI. It has a wedding scene with church and first home., strawberries, and vine. Sawtooth border. It is personalized with the intials of the bride and groom, and the wedding date. The second sampler is patterned after a simpler sampler design from New Hampshire. It has an alphabet and a bible verse , and a rose vine border with bow. The recommended fabric is 27 count unbleached linen over 2 strands, and DMC floss. The approx size of each is 9" x 11".
