Item description
This one-of-a-kind hand carved wine bottle stopper was a treasure brought back to the United Sates from a trip to Turkey. It features a finely detailed carved head of a dashing man with a bright red and green turban. He has a luxurious and well-tended handlebar mustache with elaborately curled ends. His stylish locks sweep up and over, framing his face with matching curls. His beard and the hair at the nape of his neck are ornately carved in the style of an Assyrian king. This unusual wooden bottle stopper measures approximately 3-3/4" tall and 1-3/4" wide. Other than the slight loss of green paint at the top of his turban (please see the pictures), this vintage stopper is in excellent condition. The cork is fully intact and is marked Hand Work Made In Turkey. This unique Carved Turkish Wood Wine Bottle Stopper Figural Man With Red Turban Mustache is not only dashingly handsome, but would be a a great conversation piece at your next party!
