They sound great with the doors on and help hide road noise when the doors are off. They make use of otherwise wasted space and are designed to fit snugly against the sidewalls. Mod Pods will fit Wrangler TJ, Wrangler Unlimited, YJ, CJ7 and CJ5. Constructed of thick plastic and boasting a textured finish, Mod Pods can withstand years of abuse. Mod-Pods have pre-cut holes to accept 5.25" speakers; the pods are available empty so you can add your own favorite speakers, and are also offered with Power Acoustik or Kicker 5.25" car audio speakers included. Mod Pods have hidden wire-lead holes so the speaker wires easily conceal beneath the carpet as they are run up to the radio. Directions, poly-fill and mounting hardware included. In Jeep Wrangler TJ’s and Unlimited (1997-2006) each Mod-Pod is secured with two self-drill hex-head screws. Each pod has small, pre-drilled holes for precise and correct attachment in these models, utilizing the hollow area in the side-body of the Jeep just in front of the doors, down low by the floor. In CJ’s YJ's (1955-1995) the best (and easiest) way to install Mod Pods is to apply Lock-Tite Power Grab construction adhesive caulk to the back of the pods and set them to the sidewall of the vehicle, letting the bond set dry overnight. It is available at your local hardware store, costs just a few dollars for a tube, is exceptional in its bonding abilities, and will hold the pods in place firmly. (All installation methods are covered in the Install Instructions). CJ YJ owners have a foot activated parking brake that will not interfere with your driver side pod. *A note about use of larger speakers: If you wish to use 6.5" speakers, you wouldn’t be the first. J Many times they’ll fit. You can buy the empty pods and take them with you when choosing a pair of 6.5" speakers to make sure they'll fit look good. You'll probably have to make the pre-cut speaker holes a little larger with a rotary cutout tool or a jig saw. And check to make sure the depth of the speakers (magnets) won't hit the backs of the pods. Lastly, check to see if the grilles that come with the speakers will fit nicely enough on the pod faces. All of these potential fitment issues are why we don’t normally use 6.5” speakers in the Mod Pods, but there are always some 6.5” speakers in the ever-changing world of audio brands and models that will fit. Orders shipped via USPS Priority Mail to foreign countries can take as long as 20-25 days to reach their destinations. The buyer accepts the long shipping time when items are shipped via USPS. Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays are not included in the shipping time. We drop ship our products through many manufactures, so occasionally an item may be back ordered at the time of purchase. In this instance, we will notify you with the estimated delivery time - with the option to cancel your purchase and receive a full refund. Tracking Information: For your convenience, we will post the tracking information as soon as we receive it from the Shipping Department. Export information: All export customers are required to contact us with your shipping information so that we can provide you with a shipping cost quote before you purchase the item. Upon request we will send you an invoice including the cost of the item and shipping cost. Please send us the description, and item number for the item that you would like to purchase. RETURNS: In order to maintain the lowest prices possible we ask your help in minimizing returns. Before your order any item make sure to double check that you have chosen the correct item. If you find that you have made a mistake, you may return item(s) as long as we receive it back within 14 days of delivery to your delivery address. They need to be the Item that we shipped and need to be in new and unused condition and in the original un-opened packaging. Once opened items sold in pre-shrunk packaging cannot be returned. We do not sell used items. Rather than pass the cost of processing returns on to everyone in the form of higher prices, we will reduce your refund by a 20% restocking fee. Once the item is received back, upon our inspection, we will refund the customer less shipping and restocking fees. Shipping fees will apply even if the listing says free shipping since we have paid to ship the item to the customer originally and just because it says free shipping on the listing it doesn’t mean that the carrier will not charge us and free shipping listings basically mean that the shipping fees are factored into the profit margin of the item when it gets sold. The restocking fee is 20%. If you can see that the package is damage at the time of delivery, ask the delivery driver to wait while you check out the contents. If your parts are damaged, refuse the delivery. Then send us a message via and we'll start the process to get a new order shipped out to you. If you don't notice the damage until the carrier is gone, send us an message for instructions. If we have made and error in you order please contact us and point out our error so that we can correct it in our listings to avoid future problems, than make sure that you include a copy of the item sales information so that we can identify the item when we receive it. Also include a note describing our error and if you are correct we will waive the restocking fee. Any part which, in our opinion, shows evidence of being used and or installed is not returnable. If installed contrary to the manufacturer’s instructions the item is not returnable. If the item is subjected to improper handling, packaging, or shipping by the customer it will not be eligible for exchange, refund, or warranty consideration. If you order included multiple items please place a copy of each order in each return box to ensure that you are credited properly. All returns must be packaged to avoid damage. Ship postage pre-paid. Return shipping charges are not refundable. When returning items we recommend that you use FedEx, UPS or USPS so you have a tracking number. If you ship the return item via truck please contact us before doing so. You will receive an email from us within 3-4 business days of our warehouse receiving the return Item.
