Item description
Vintage original 8 x 10 in. US single-weight glossy photograph from the 1980s made-for-television two-part drama, THE TWO MRS. GRENVILLES, originally broadcast on Feb. 8-9, 1987, in which family image matters more than anything to the Grenvilles, even when the son (Stephen Collins) is shot dead by his former chorus girl wife (Ann-Margaret), whom his mother (Claudette Colbert) despises.
The image depicts Claudette Colbert as the society matriarch, Alice Grenville, with her only son, Billy (Stephen Collins). Affixed to the bottom of the verso is the original, slightly oversized, paper snipe that describes the image. It is in very fine condition as shown.
Provenance: The Hearst Los Angeles Herald Examiner newspaper archive.
