Mstera Handcrafted Lacquer Miniature Trinket Box 1974 Metelitsa 9cm USSR
Approx. 2.5" in diameter. Mstera is one of the lacquer miniature making villages along with Palekh, Fedoskino and Kholui. The unique Mstera style of painting is a distinctive local art that has absorbed the Old Believer icon-painting traditions of the region. It stands out for its peculiar transition of unusually bright and diverse colors.
"Metelitsa". Made in 1974 in Mstera, USSR. In great condition, no issues. With manufacturer's label.
