Item description
This vintage t-shirt from the 1990s features a graphic art design inspired by Woodley Park in Washington DC. The tee is made of comfortable cotton material and is a unisex fit in size L. The short sleeves and contemporary look make it a versatile addition to any wardrobe.
The design showcases the famous corner of Connecticut Avenue + Calvert Street NW where a mural of Marilyn Monroe has adorned the 2nd floor exterior side wall of 2602 Calvert Street facing the intersection for decades (I believe since she died). Below the mural, 2600 Calvert's corner entrance, now a damn Chipotle's, was my favorite sign in the whole of the city, Sherry's Liquors - my namesake in lights! Sherry's has since moved down the street, forever changing the landscape that is captured in this awesome t-shirt. I'd keep it, but a long time ago my bestie gave me an artist illustrated drawing of that corner before it was taken over by the corporate wrecking ball.
Made in the United States, this t-shirt is a perfect addition for anyone interested in vintage clothing or seeking a special souvenir from the nation's capital.
