Item description
Cosmicar-Pentax TV-Zoom Lens 12-240mm 1:1.6 H20ZME 5PH C-Mount meteor astronomy motorized lens (C21520 #030441)
Description: This lens is a high end super-zoom long range fast CCTV lens specially designed for surveillance in military posts and great to use in astronomy and low light conditions. Designed for 1/2" modern sensor sizes and down (bigger chip may show some vignetting). Iris is "video iris" type and it works flawlessly. If you want to use this lens with a sensitive camera, the better. For use as astronomy camera (as I do) it is recommended to operate it with opened iris. Some lenses allow to open iris (applying 12V to iris cables) and iris remains so. Some other lenses require either you block iris open (with tape, for instance, since it is easy to do) or get an special remote control to operate it... or just remove it. I can remove it for free if you plan to use it as astronomy lens and you tell me before shipping. High resolution figures when tested under Imatest software (the best of the long range), so I recommend it without doubt for high resolution imagery. Very fun and very high quality lens. Originally, this costed 2400 or even more.
I have more units available in same condition (but without box). First sold will be with box, the other three come with no box.
Issues: some marks of usage.
Technical information for astronomy/meteor work: this lens is designed for 1/2" and smaller sensors. Front filter size is M95x1 and it operates within temperature range -10ยบ to +50ยบ C.
