This is a rare First Edition of "The American Fruit Book" by S.W. Cole, published in 1849. It contains detailed directions for raising and managing fruit trees and plants etc with many engraved illustrations of fruits, trees, insects etc. This copy is in very good condition for its age. Some wear on the covers and spine but all pages and illustrations are intact and legible and fully attached to the spine The brown front board is partially detached, as is the outer cover of the spine which is missing its bottom part - see photos All gutters appear to be properly connected to the spine, and all pages are connected in the gutters Some foxing in places The print appears crisp and sharp black - see photos Express Priority shipping to eligible countries, including USA and most of Europe etc. To other countries it will ship by Standard Registered Airmail.
