These songs move effortlessly from border to border to create unique sounds and vibrant rhythms that mingle Spanish, Turkish, French and Hungarian influences using enchanting voices and solo horns and violin to captivate and get your hips swirling and your spirit soaring. Highlights: Austrian band DelaDap?s Lautlos, Israeli group Balkan Beat Box?s Bulgarian Chicks (from their first album) was popular in clubs and dancehalls and has some great horns, the gorgeous piano on Balkan Damar's Uci Me Majka Karaj Me, Turkish musician and actor Burhan Ocal's Limoncru (Trakya Version) contains some incredible violin solos, and finally the beautiful jazz of Gipsy Soul by the Serbian trumpet player and brass ensemble leader Boban Markovic. This last entry is a truly astounding instrumental that, by itself, is worth the price of the recording.
