Item description
Antique sugar tongs hallmarked "RP" signifying Robert Pringle and with a date code of "e" signifying 1880 London. In 1880, the silversmith shop was actually Robert Pringle Sons. Tongs are approximately 3.5 inches long and have the unique bird claw ends that were indicative of Pringle's work. In very good shape with markings still pretty clear - lion passant (middle mark indicates sterling). First mark appears to be a crown indicating London.
