Item description
Dexter 1674 1/2 4 1/2 inch Traditional handle beaver skinning / fillet knife-Carbon Steel
Details
Some people skin small game with it, some people fillet small panfish with it and some call it the beaver skinner. The Dexter 1674oe Traditional? Skinning / Fillet knife is a true classic. This beech wood handle knife features a high carbon steel blade that holds an edge and is easy to re-sharpen. This knife is also used as a fillet knife for small pan fish. Made in U.S.A. Dexter The Edge Since 1818
This knife is also great for fleshing deer hides and animal skins.
Care: Because these have a wood handle and high carbon steel, they should be hand washed and dried. The blade will get a black patina with use. Avoid rust by adding a coat of vegetable oil. Ask the old timers, they swear by them.
