According to Hartmann all cases in this collection were constructed to provide unsurpassed durability and beauty that only improves with time.

This case was manufactured in the U.S.A out of real Belting Leather and is new old stock. This quality of leather is no longer used by Hartmann. The current Belting Leather being offered by Hartmann is not as high quality as this item. This is the true natural tan colored Belting Leather that is the most coveted and becoming nearly impossible to find in unused condition. Furthermore, the Cambridge style briefcase has not been offered by Hartmann for some time. If you want one you usually have to settle for a used worn one.
This is a beautiful unique case with a "figure 8" leather handle and beautiful brass fittings. It has a brass combination lock currently set at 00. It has a double gusset with interior nylon lining and leather storage pouches. The flap over closure straps are held in place with magnetic snaps. It has an adjustable removable leather shoulder strap with comfort bad and brass snap clips. It has a belting leather ID tag with a brass lower case script 'h' Hartmann logo.
Dimensions:
Length: 17 inches
Height: 12 inches
Width: 5 inches
Condition (PLEASE READ):
This briefcase is in new with original tags. It is in beautiful unused condition, but does have some light storage wear. There are a few light scratches on the leather that have are shown in the listing photos. There are no other rips, tears or holes. All hardware works as intended. It is structurally sound. Please see photos and use magnifying tool for best depiction of condition of case.
It is our belief that this bag was manufactured sometime in the 1990s. We base this belief on the fact that the bag is stamped with the lower case script h logo which Hartmann used up to 1999, The style number on the Hartmann box label is 4700 Belt EC41 Cambridge which was used in the 90s and we have a vintage Hartmann catalog for 1995 that lists this bag and style ID as part of the Hartmann Briefcase Collection and lists the same specifications this bag has. However, it appears that it was no longer available by 2002 as we have a Hartmann catalog from that year that no longer lists this style as available from their line of business cases. We will show you a copy if you would like to see it.
