Item description
Here is a box of over 50 instruction booklets of patterns ( not the kind you cut out, tits more for design ideas, and instructions) women's, men's, and children's clothing, manufactured by Creative Patterns around 1975. Also some home decor.
The styles represented seem to span from the early '60s to the mid-'70s, either because Creative Patterns kept publishing patterns for a few years after their introduction, or maybe because the pattern industry is a few years behind haute couture. So the men's patterns seem to be from the 1970s or the end of the '60s at earliest, but while many of the women's outfits are solidly 1970s, a number of them resemble the styles popularized by certain London boutiques and "it girls" in the mid-1960s (although who knows if the illustrations are an accurate representation of the silhouette of the actual garment).
According to the booklets, many of the designs in the illustrations involve pieces from multiple envelopes,( there are no actual patterns in this bunch)
The gingham-patterned box is intact, but definitely not in immaculate condition (it's yellowed with a few stains). I thought I detected a slight mildew smell (this came from a Pennsylvania estate), but in good shape.
