UP FOR SALE: Vintage Harvest Moon Apple Doll Peddler Old Man 15" Folk Art Hand Crafted OOAK These Dolls were designed and crafted in the early 1960s-70s by Alice Hastings / Annette Sutton and sold under the Name Suzette International. Isn't he just hilarious. He has all the fixins to make chili and I bet it will taste great! Alice and her friend Annette Sutton researched projects that might fit in with the theme of the local Renaissance Faire. They discovered apple dolls and developed a process to produce the dried apple head, constructed a little "fetish" out of sticks and ribbons and submitted it to the jury overseeing the arts at the Faire. The jury loved it and that started many years of Renaissance Faire participation. AS IS AS SHOWN Please take a look at the pictures for the best description.
