The silversmith workshop, Atelier De Vecchi, was founded by Piero De Vecchi in 1935. A sculpturer and engraver, at a young age he participated in Futurism which shared the constant research of the dynamism that he transmitted in his productions. His works were exhibited in major national and international museums: from the Milan Triennale to the Moma in New York, which granted him the Diploma of Honor for an aluminium Thermos, an aluminium ?picnic service? and a candlestick in silver T8. With the T8 Piero De Vecchi completely changes the classical structure of a candlestick: a single item that unfolds into a fluid shape into space. In 1962 his son Gabriele, succeeded his father at the running of the company ?Inside the Silver?. Since then, Gabriele transferred into the interior of the silver. his skills and the research guidelines based on the reflective qualities of this material, by studying the relationship between the object and the environment, what led to the creation of that De Vecchi style which today is recognized and appreciated all around the world. In 2010 De Vecchi is bought by the Goldsmith Vhernier who share the same love for design, highest quality, made in Italy and craftsmanship.
